Community Partners
Bunce Rental is proud to help out in our community by working with the the following organizations in Pierce County.
Toys For Tots
All of our stores, along with American Party Place and American Medical Rental & Supply, began serving as drop-off locations for Toys For Tots in 2011. With the help of our employees and customers in Tacoma, Puyallup, and the surrounding areas from Federal Way to Roy, 772 toys have been donated through our stores. Thanks to efforts of many individuals and businesses in the community, approximately 22,000 children received Christmas presents through Toys For Tots in the 2011 Christmas season.
Clover Park Technical College Zero Energy House
Our partnership with Clover Park Technical College's Sustainable Building Science Program helps provide students with equipment they need to work on the Zero Energy House and related projects. The Zero Energy House is used as a working laboratory for students to learn more about creating sustainable living environments that conserve energy.
Tacoma Panthers
Since 2006, Bunce Rental has been a sponsor of the Tacoma Panthers JR Football and Sports Association. Through the Tacoma Panthers, local kids are able to participate in football, fast pitch, cheerleading, basketball. By participating on a team, kids from 4th to 8th grade are able to gain valuable leadership skills and be influenced by positive role models. The Tacoma Panthers were established in 1994 under the name of the the South Tacoma Football Players by a group of coachs who wanted to provide opportunities to play football to kids who may have been overlooked by other leagues due to lack of funds.
Emergency Food Network
Coming in April, Bunce Rental is partnering with the Emergency Food Network of Pierce County to put on a Food Drive. The Food Drive will run from April 1-14, 2012. All Bunce Rental locations will serve as drop-off locations for food donations which will then be taken to the Emergency Food Network warehouse for distribution to food banks all over Pierce County. The Emergency Food Network has been working since 1982 to provide food and other essentials for distribution to low-income families and individuals through food banks, shelters, and hot meal sites.
