An internal 2-jaw slide hammer puller is used to yank out components trapped in a blind hole or dead-end cavity, such as pilot bearings, inner bearing races, needle bearings, and oil seals.
The tool functions by dropping two inward-facing jaw hooks inside the component's inner diameter, expanding a central wedge or cone to lock the jaws rigidly beneath the back lip, and slamming a heavy sliding weight backward against a handle stop to apply reverse mechanical inertia.
