Texture spray guns and hoppers are used to apply uniform textured finishes such as orange peel, knockdown, splatter, and popcorn to drywall ceilings and walls. They utilize a gravity-fed bucket (the hopper) mounted on top of an air-atomized spray gun that connects directly to an air compressor.
Because texture material is extremely viscous, they require a high-volume compressor, typically rated at 4 to 7 CFM at 25 to 40 PSI.
