  • A clutch alignment tool is a highly useful tool used when installing a new manual transmission clutch. When replacing a clutch, the clutch disc must sit perfectly concentric between the flywheel and the pressure plate. If it is even slightly off-center, the transmission's splined input shaft will not slide into the pilot bearing, preventing you from mating the transmission back to the engine block.
